Simcha & Brocha… Benji’s Bar Mitzvah

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

Hello from Moshe’s site,

So here are stunning pics of our Special Simcha – Benji’s Barmitzvah.  What a Brocha to have such a simcha. It was so special.  Benji leined the whole of Parsha Va-etchanan and did the Haftorah for Shabbat Nachamu. Our seuda was awesome – the dvar Torahs by Benji, Rabbi Steve Krawitz and Rabbi Hendler were special. The music, dancing and singing were superb.  What a special ruach.

It was very special having Moshe with us at our simcha because from the start of his Chemo we were not sure how he was going to be feeling at this time of Benji’s Barmitzvah.  Would he be in hospital? Would his immuninity be too low?  Would he just not be feeling well?….. BH Moshe is certainly being watched over by Hashem as he is BH feeling good even today. He did not land up in hospital with an infection. Moshe was in top form. At Benji’s Barmitzvah Moshe sang a special song “Hamalach Hagoel Oti” (loosely tranlated- God sends down the angels to look after me, to keep me safe from harm…).

We all had the most wonderful evening – here are some pictures.

Can you believe these pictures – happiness, fun, ABUNDANT ENERGY, Moshe singing, beautiful brocha from Hashem.

Be’ezrat Hashem may Moshe continue to heal in this most amazing way.

We are now on the FINAL COUNTDOWN OF RADIOTHERAPY – 6 more sessions to go. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then 5 Big Chemos every 3rd week….

Hope you all had a STUNNING SHABBOS and have a peaceful week.

Sunday Night Learning Programme

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Hi Everyone,

This picture is of Moshe with all his Manchester United goods. He loves it as you can see.

Last Sunday night we started our 4 week learning program in the merit of a refuah shleima for Moshe.

It was wonderful of everyone to turn up for the learning. About 20 men and 15 women arrived and were inspired by great shiurim from Rabbi and Rebbetzin Steinhaus.

Quite a few people said they could only start coming next week so we are expecting an even bigger turnout next week. Is that not awesome?

Moshe has now had 18 radiotherapy sessions with only 10 remaining after which he will return to chemo treatments.

We will still post some photos of Moshe enjoying himself at his brother Benji’s barmi last week. I am waiting for the photos and then will tell you a bit more of Moshe’s escapades at the barmi. You will be quite impressed. Keep watching the site for more updates.

Benji’s Bar Mitzvah Week

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

Hello dear friends,

BH what a wonderful week! A simcha so special for Benji and all of us. Moshe felt fantastic.

Bloods this week were higher than last month’s – what a brocha. Must be from all the davening and the Quantum healing. I do not think Moshe is supposed to be feeling so good! Hashem is certainly guarding him… may He continue. Amen.

We are on no 17 of radiation therapy today, with another 11 to go. Moshe goes every day Monday to Friday.

Thank you to everyone – all those who were invited to Benji’s Bar Mitzvah AND those not – for all your helps, calls, sms’s and more. I know you all realised that we could not invite ALL those dear, even though you are dear. May we all share in many simchas together.

Have a wonderful Shabbos!

All our love,

Ezra, Jackie, Daniel, Benji, Moshe, Akiva and Levi

Moshe’s Week – and Moshe’s Friends Who Need Prayers

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Hi again,

Thank you to all those who have been rallying around Moshe and our family – giving and caring in so many ways.Thank you to everyone for the davening, tehillim, special outings, visits, card swopping visits, afterschool lessons, hats, yarmulkas, games, activities, chocolate brownies, coloured
sprinkle biscuits, sweets, sabras, cakes, delicious dinners, shabbos treats, ….

This week Moshe begins with bloods and Chemo on Monday morning. Then off to radiotherapy at lunch time. The rest of the week he will bh be able to go to school (when he eventually wakes up) and then he leaves school just after midday for radiotherapy.

Moshe you are a shining child. Everyone cares about you. May your light radiate forever more and more. Continue entertaining us with your song and dance routines.

Please continue to daven for Moshe Yair ben Bayla Tanya for a complete recovery so that he will grow up to live a good life. Can we also daven for his friends:

  • Malki bat Raisel Nechama (Malki who is 11 years old was diagnosed in London 2 weeks after Moshe with exactly the same tumour in the exactly the same place in her nasal cavity)
  • Tal Eitan bat Sarah Rafaella (Tal is 8 years old and is also having Chemo at the Donald Gordon with Moshe)
  • Also Devorah Leah bat Michal ( Devorah Leah is a Mommy and also undergoing Chemo).

We wish you all strength.

Continue to do mitzvahs for our children, your children and all Hashem’s children. It is through this doing and giving in all kinds of ways that we can grow. Hashem helps us to grow in all kinds of ways. Just have faith.

May all our children grow up to live good lives – may they grow with Torah and may their children continue to be a credit to all of Israel.

Love,

Moshe’s Week – 8 August

Friday, August 8th, 2008

BH Moshe has had a good week. He is tough and has the most amazing spirit.

Wakes up in the morning between 7 and 9, even on school days. What a life. BH he has been going to school. He wakes up singing at the top of his voice and then he even dances. He even dances with his breakfast bowl – while standing of course! He is full of spunk.

When I told Moshe that one day soon BH things will be back to normal and he will grow up beautifully and normally he told me that no one is normal. I (his mom) have glasses… so life is such.

Craving CrumpetsMoshe still has cravings – Yogi Sip, hot dogs, lettuce, grapes and pancakes… which turned into crumpets. He either smells or sees a food and then suddenly he wants that food immediately.

Moshe entertains us with his spontaneity. He also WANTS to do homework / work for soccer cards.

Hashem is taking us on this journey. Please let Him guard us.
We are all Hashem’s children. May we continue to give Hashem joy.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

Love,
Ezra
