Back to School Tomorrow!

Monday, June 30th, 2008

We are thrilled that Moshe will be attending school tomorrow for the first time in a month.

His blood counts were very good today which means his immune system is working well at the moment allowing him to be with other kids. He is very excited. :-)

He is having a scheduled short 2-week break from chemo and will hopefully be able to go to school for 2 weeks before his next strong chemo.

Moshe thank G-d remains in high spirits. Be’ezrat Hashem he will go from strength to strength.

Love,
The Altschulers

Moshe’s Week

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

Hi all,

Thanks for all your davening, caring, sms-ing, calls, treats and support. Moshe has B”H had a good week last week. He is in great spirits. He has the neshoma of a wise man and he understands Hashem’s role. How can such a young child deal with this? I think that young children ARE like angels – so connected to the realness of Hashem.

B”H he has had a good week again. He has been in for a few days now for the big chemo and has done very well again and is feeling very good.

Thanks again. May you all too have a good week.

Love,

Ezra and Jackie

An Unscheduled Hospital Stay

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

Hi Guys,

Last week was quite a rough week for Moshe. He landed up in hospital on Wednesday with an infection. Because the chemo affects the immune system he has to be admitted to receive intravenous antibiotics when this happens.

He felt lousy but baruch Hashem is now feeling great and will be discharged on Monday please G-d. Regular chemo continues next week with his next heavy chemo scheduled for Monday 23 June.

Once again thanks for all the prayers and wonderful support from all our super friends

Love, the Altshculers

Moshe’s New Look

Out of the Hospital!

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

Moshe had his 2nd big chemo treatment this week: went into hospital on Monday and came home tonight.

Well, everyone’s prayers must be working, as his side effects have been really minimal compared to the first “big blast” 3 weeks ago. He’s been running around at home this evening already… can’t keep our Moshe down for long!

Moshe is beginning to look like GI Jane – still has long eyelashes and dark eye brows – gorgeous! He is coming to terms with the look – think it was hard at first but he is becoming easier with it. We think he looks very cool actually!

Moshe B”H has not been feeling much nausea today and yesterday – just very tired and dizzy. He had a good 3-hr sleep yesterday afternoon which was great.

He was so full of beans Monday riding on the drip pole around the hospital. We could have been thrown out. Then the chemo kicked in and Moshe slowed down. Shuuw!
